San Diego Comic-Con
Yay, I get to go. :) It's kind of last-minute, but we got a hotel okay, and we signed up online tonight for the four days at the Con.
So last Friday, my brother gets home from work and says, I guess it's too late this year, but do you want to go to the San Diego Comic-Con next year? And I like, looked at him, and said, I wanted to go *this* year. I want to go *every* year. I've always wanted to go and have never been able to, even when I lived an hour or so from San Diego. So he says, okay, and gets online and finds us a hotel for a week. Oh and today he actually asked for the time off, lol. ;)
So we're going to San Diego, from July 16 to the 23rd. We're going to drive down. We'll poot around San Diego for the first few days, go to the zoo and aquarium and whatnot, since the only times I've set foot in San Diego was to visit my friends and we never went anywhere. Then we'll do the Con from the preview night through Saturday - we need to start driving home on Sunday morning so Jim can go to work Monday, so hopefully nothing spectacular will happen on Sunday...
I'm pondering a costume. I have to get our Rennaissance Faire costumes together for the Faire at the end of June, but that shouldn't be too time-consuming as we are going to be going as filthy peasants (oh yes). If I don't do a costume you know what would be cool, to finally completely remake my Mr. Banana Brain doll, maybe as a puppet this time. That'd be spiffeh. :)
So for anyone on here who reads this and you're going, maybe you'll see me. I'll be the fat chick with the really long brown hair wearing red-framed glasses and a nametag that says SPARKY - and either carrying a Mr Banana Brain doll or, on one day anyways, dressed up as...I'm not sure yet. I'm still thinking about it.
