I am in love...
...with my new iPod.
I had been wanting one forever, and steffox reminded me...and then I had money left over from my tax refunds after spoiling the animals so I put it towards something I figured I could really use. I basically do data entry for 8+ hours a day plus I drive a lot on the weekends plus go to the gym, and choosing cds to bring with me had become an agonising daily chore.
I got a 30G, also known as an "iPod Photo", and am still in the process of uploading all my cds to my computer, with nightly transfers to the iPod of what I have so far. I figure I'll still be doing it by the weekend. But already the little booger has been worth it; I no longer have to schlep 10 or so cds to work so I don't get bored out of my head, and I was able to remove the Portable CD Player O' Doom from the car. The car kit I bought for the iPod ran me another hundred bucks but after only using it for about 20 minutes on the commute home today I think it was worth it. And I muchly enjoyed my own little private three-hour Blues Brothers concert yesterday.
Best of all, Hot Topic wasn't out of the Cheshire Cat iPod cases I saw there a few months ago. ;)
