Punku got her sutures out today. Her ear is in dandy shape- of course also in an ODD shape, all wrinkled and folded and flopped a bit. But it is no longer causing her discomfort and she should never get another hematoma in it ever again.
I saw the new Co-op gallery space for the Big Bend Art Council this evening. It needs a LOT of work. But it's nice and roomy and has lots of possibilities. I may have wound up on one of the advisory boards/councils for the organization as an admin/tech person due to my ideas about setting up a multimedia display thingy in a corner of the space that would tell visitors more about the BBAC and the artists who are members, etc. The reason this would be extra handy is that we BBAC folks are NOT going to be actually sitting in the gallery every day. We are sharing space/rent with an insurance office, and THEY will usually be the ones to keep an eye on visitors via surveilance cameras if they are busy or by walking them through if they are not busy. So BBAC people will really only HAVE to be there weekends and for special events.
I have downloaded Blender 3D, and am going to try and learn how to use it to make Sims items for 2 and hopefully for 3. So far the wall-o-text tutorials and information dumps have been, erm, daunting. But I WILL perservere, and get my own Sims site (Bakasims) back up and actually *running* at some point this summer, dammit.
But for now, I'm gonna just relax and actually play the game for an hour or two. I'm a little angry with myself, because I deleted a neighborhood on a bit of a "My newer neighborhood replaces it for coolness and I'm not likely to return to it!" whim- and now that it is gone and unsalvagable I'm realizing I could've MOVED my cooler families and lots to the new neighborhood. Dammit (again).
