Dr. Splodey

So I went out shopping, as I've been without Dr. P for two days or more now. Got a few other little things too, got them safely to my car, and casually dropped the case of Dr. P into the passenger seat.

Whereupon at least one, probably more, cans inside the cardboard burst at the seams, and Dr. Pepper began to GUSH out and onto my seat, and worse, ran down the side of the seat to the floor below. I managed to very VERY quickly scoop the oozing case up and get it out of my car- leaving a nice line of drips over the driver's side seat too (I hadn't opened the passenger door for the stowing of things, there were so few).

*sigh*

Of course by the time I managed to run in, exchange the case (and leave a flood of Dr. P in my wake on the store floor), and get even a bit of napkin, the stuff had soaked well and truly into the depths of the apholstery. Worse, there's NO WAY to get to what flowed down the edge of the seat and pooled beneath it. The seats I can maybe steam clean, but I would have to remove the unremoveable passenger one to get to the carpeting beneath it.

So I have a damp, Dr. Peppery car in damp weather, and I'm hoping like hell it doesn't grow mold or attract ants or whatever else might happen.

Bugger.

shopping, rant, car
