So I'm going to this year's
TASA (Texas Association of Schools of Art) conference with professor and some Art Club peeps this year, as noted in a post some time ago.
There is a juried show/contest (well, two, but I only entered one) and I submitted
Dream.
Well, my inbox just had zis:
Congratulations!
This email is to inform you of your acceptance to Solely Art, the TASA
Student exhibit to take place at Gypsy Ted Gallery, McMurry University.
Please make arrangements to have your pieces in Abilene at TASA registration
in time for the installation and exhibit reception.
Also, please make sure you make arrangements for a professor, or someone
attending the convention to retrieve your pieces when the exhibition closes.
Neither TASA, Gypsy Ted, or McMurry University will be responsible for
unretrieved artworks.
Thank you for your participation and good luck in the show!
SQUEEE! I may not win anything, of course, BUT, this is the biggest juried show I've ever entered. Hell, the only other juried show I've ever entered was a local BBAC one. So, I'm still terribly excited that my stuff was accepted into the show.
So, I'll have to head to Abilene early (or at any rate someone will with the painting) and also will have to linger, or have someone linger, til after things are over to bring it home.
Wish me luck!
