Musk princess
So yesterday I hit the beauty section at Macy's. Now I'm serious folks when I say I love Vera Wang. I love "Princess." I loved "Floral" Princess. I love coconut/musk scents. And I love limited ed. freebies such as the T-shirt and cute bag packaged with this scent. So obviously Vera Wang + Princess + coconut musk + freebies would be instant win, correct? No.
$75.00 later I have an instant headache. ;___; Upon first spritz? The only thing I smell is a hellish alcohol overdose. I smell like a friggin pineapple cocktail folks. Swanky? No way! Considering I live in a city filled with homeless dudes (we get bothered at least 2 times a day just going to pull up the car) the last thing on my agenda is paying close to 80 bucks just to smell like them. Very, very disappointing. Eventually the alcohol fades into an overwhelming musky floral scent. This is nothing like what I was expecting. Later tonight I am most definitely going back and returning this for a refund. Sorry Ms. Wang, but this one's an explosion of ass in a pretty bottle.
However, I did stumble upon a cute, crisp spritz for the summer. And it didn't cost me 75 big ones.
Japan giant, KOSE's popular brand, HAPPY BATH DAY. I wasn't sure how much I'd care for this as it's advertised as 90% floral (essence of rose) and 10% misc (honey). But for the price ($18.00!) I figured it was worth it for collection's sake even if I never picked it up again. Surprisingly, it's absolutely lovely! Much like taking a whiff of a pretty bouquet, the smell lingers on and on for hours and fades quite nicely into a warm, sweet musk. 100% headache free and work safe to wear. (Trust me- not all scents are appropriate for work.) I regret not picking up the powder spray to stash in my desk draw at work ;___;
Eeee and I managed to pick up some wicked cute items at the Chanel counter! More on that later! ****!!
