Very, very long day. I'm in the middle of another 11 day work week. I am so ready to drop.
Dude. Utada live on the early show.. ouch. Out of tune??? Pitchy?? Or to quote Charlie "shit." (Thank you Charlie for being blunt as usual.) But in all seriousness, not so good. WHY CAN'T THE REAL SINGERS DEBUT HERE?? Ahem.. my lovely Hee Young... girl just needs a little make up and a good producer. She's even more amazing when she sings live. (See below damnit.)
I am so serious. The Asian community is so not represented properly in American media.. and when the few overhyped, Kung-fu, green tea sippin, chopstick slingin "super stars" come out of the woodwork and sing "FYI" in all of its fanatic, blotchy pitches after being introduced as a million hit seller... I'm.. well.. a little embarrassed. (It's even worse when a coworker comments how backwards Asian people are, then immediately after realizing her bad, turn to me and say "well, except for you, you're cool for an Asian.") FOR AN ASIAN. BECAUSE AS WE ALL KNOW 99.9% OF ASIANS ARE TOTALLY LAME. EXCUSE ME WHILE I EAT MY SUSHI AND LISTEN TO UTADA WITH GOOD FORTUNE SAYONARA. I think I'll be Puerto Rican today, kthnx.
