The plot may have been boilerplate, but I will forgive that and any other flaws in light of the gorgeous visuals. Now I see why some people have been claiming to have Na'vi souls. I still think they're fruitcakes, claiming to be spiritually members of a recently-invented fictional race, but at least they picked something cool to be fruitcakey about.
I had to grin when I first saw the Na'vi faces. With the face I designed waaaay back in the '80s, Orko could be a distant cousin.
