Today I cooked curry. I then ate curry. And it didn't poison me.
Y'see, I can't eat spicy stuff. Both of my parents love teh spice; I remember my father piling on the garlic and my mother eating searing-hot curry chicken and the like. Me, I think that hot spices are to the taste of food as an air raid siren is to a symphonic concert, and a single touch of wasabi completely ruins sushi. So, you can understand why I have chosen not to bother with curry. Why make a meal inedible with that crap? Fergit it!
Well, I finally decided to give mild curry a try, and got some of that curry-in-a-bar stuff. And I made a chicken, onion, carrot, broccoli, mushroom, and pea curry, and after the initial "What is this weird flavor?" effect passed I found that it's actually nontoxic. Enjoyable, even. So, I don't have to throw out the rest of the package.
So... cool. Another thing I can cook. :)
