Livin' at this crazy anarchist summer camp in western mass that pretends to be a summer camp but is really a wild hangout space in the woods for liberal 15 year old kids. My days are filled with hikes and lakes and saunas and scrabble and wink and amazing vegan food.
Yesterday we heard the health inspector was coming so we roused tired, sleep deprived everyone (who didn't go to bed until 5 am or at all) so the authorities wouldn't know that we *gasp* allow teenagers to sleep in beds together and shoved them in a room together and told stories about shittin' in yer pants while everyone cuddled and napped. And the inspectors never came.... so this morning all the staff packed up and went to a retreat house to allow campers full reign during Camper Day, and as we napped and campers were having puking contests and organizing a mud wrestling tournament, the inspectors showed up for real. We hurridly took down our signs about nude swimming trips, masturbation workshops, and all else, and disbanded the mudwrestling, but not before no less than three mud-covered bleeding kids stumbled into the infirmery where the inspectors were going through health forms. We passed and camp anarchy is still open and the insanity has recommenced!
Life is really wonderful and beautiful, if a little bit busier and more stressful than I'm used to. Fell in love with a beautiful person this week, spent many hours singing and talking and cuddling and it was so wonderful and good. Still don't know where life is taking me after camp, but dave and i are dreaming of a house and garden, and maybe some money making opportunities.
