McShep Match 2012!
mcshep_match is open for business!
The theme for the Match this year is Time & Space. This year's lovely artwork was done by ladyofthelog, and you can find the official art and icons HERE. I'm very pleased to be team Captain for Team Time, and even more pleased (and honored) to be sharing the Match Bridge with the brilliant Captain for Team Space, busaikko. It's very difficult to wear the rival hat in that case, let me tell you. But more than a friendly rivalry, I see it as two teams working together toward a common goal: creating fabulous fic, art, and vids to keep fandom twitterpated with our favorite Canadian astrophysicist and American Lieutenant Colonel.
There are, however, a few changes for this year:
1 - You can sign up without having to designate writer or artist. There are 25 slots open on each team (teams to be randomly assigned), and you can decide after signing up and receiving your prompt whether you'd like to write, make art, or vid.
2 - The drabble tree this year is just for fun and that's already underway. There will be recognition for the top drabbler, so drabble and drabble often.
Some important dates:
Sign-ups Open: Friday, June 8, 2012 at 10 PM GMT - (when is that?)
Deadlines: July 23rd and July 25th
Posting Begins: Wednesday, August 1, 2012
