That would be the Third Annual Atlantis Squee Weekend - the THIRD! And it's a little uncanny that I posted about the second Squee Weekend on this very day last year, so I guess the time is right and hopefully enough time for people to make plans. Here's the latest info:
What: A weekend of Stargate Atlantis squee... watching favorite episodes, discussing favorite episodes (and other various topics of interest), watching our favorite characters and more. No set agenda, just a weekend getaway with lots of food, drink, and laughter.
When: October 26 - 28, 2012 (weather should be lovely)
Where: Beautiful Greenville, South Carolina. Hotel is minutes away from the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport, which is served by Delta, United, Southwest and US Air and is readily accessible by car. (fangirls will be ready and available for airport shuttle service). I've secured a block of rooms at a group rate: $99 per night for studio and 1-BR studio suites, and $119 per night for 2-BR suites. Rate includes continental breakfast and high speed internet access. Suite rooms include kitchenette with appliances. The 2-BD suite rooms are perfect for sharing and include a pullout sofabed. Hotel is also close to shopping, food, restaurants, and caffeine! There are also several areas of the hotel suitable for breakout discussions, a chance to catch your breath, or just to take a walk. Like I said, there's no agenda or set schedule.
We are predominantly slash readers/writers so expect discussions to be heavy on the slash. Gen/Het lovers welcome, just don't want you to be surprised. Over 18 only, because there's sure to be some very adult discussions and libation.
