Did I mention today is the day that doth sucketh?
I thought my $50 Polaroid film had come in yesterday after reading the notice they left in my mailbox, but it turns out it was the Comm Arts Interactive Annual.
So after picking it up in the office, I went to Sonic, had a foot-long coney, and a cherry Dr. Pepper. Who the hell cares if that hot dog was made of all the worst parts of whatever animals they use to make hot dogs. I sure didn't. And I loved every inch of it.
... Ahem. Anyway...
I got back home and started reading the magazine. There's an article that talks about going to grad school. The two schools they've talked about so far are the ones that I want to try to get into. Of course, both RISD and Yale are extremely difficult to get into and are the cream of the crop. I'm half way through the article, but it's certainly making me scratch my head on this whole grad school business. $26,000 a year at Yale ... ::sigh::
Afterward, I decided to finally get my ass started on that illustration. I asked my roommate if he could hook up his scanner, since mine is in the shop. Cut to 2 hours later... Still unable to scan, print, even install the goddamm software. It's annoying as fuck.
So, I had to take a digital photo of the sketch, load it on the comp via USB (my card readers are on my printer as well) and finally start editing it in Illustrator.
At about 3 a.m., I finally finished the stupid illustration. I'm ready to print, but fuck all, no printer! So it looks like I'm going to have to go to Office Depot or Kinko's ... I'll have to do this by 7 or 8 o'clock because I still have to mount AND flap the illustration and prepare all my materials to turn in.
