As I'm out the door to make my way back to school, I get a phone call from Katherine. She called to tell me that once again Ryan and Julie are up to their old shit. Seriously, I hoped (rather foolishly) that having a child would help their attitudes.
See after they got little Zachary, it became impossible for them to vacate my parents house. This is the house that I rented from them while I lived in Harlingen... At the time, Katherine lived there too. A few months before I moved out, Julie and Ryan were also living there. This past year, the three of them (and Austin more recently) had been living there. But the deal was always to move out.. to completely vacate the house so my parents could sell it. They just don't have the money to pay taxes/mortgage on that house while attempting to put me through school.
Of course, this has caused a lot of tension between my sisters and their significant others. Both parties believed they should get control of the house. They both looked into buying it from my parents. Neither of them was approved.
So Kat and Austin moved out the day before yesterday. They found a cheap, cozy little apartment, and started moving out all their belongings. Kat called me to ask exactly what furniture of mine she should move to my mom's house. We all know that if it's left with Ryan and Julie, it'll be lost broken, pawned or stolen. I gave her a list, and Julie and Ryan were up in arms over not being left with any furniture. Unfortunately, none of the furniture is theirs.
Anyway, last night there was another row. Kat and Austin went back to the house to get the rest of her work clothes around midnight. Ryan was pissed off and started cussing out Katherine... saying that they should be out and had no right coming back. He thinks he owns the house, and he has not paid a dime on it! That house belongs to my parents!
So, today, Austin went over to get his work boots that were still in their old bedroom. When he arrived, all of the locks had been changed. Ryan arrived a few minutes later and he told Austin that he and Katherine were no longer welcome there. That they couldn't come back. That he and Julie have moved from places in one night, and that they'd been prolonging this too long.
The thing is ... THIS IS MY PARENTS' HOUSE!! It's not his house. You can't kick out and banish anyone from a home they've lived in longer than you have and claim it as your own.
So goddamm frustrating!!!
