So once, when I was sixteen and getting my first drunk on, I drank so much that I needed to pee. In a subway station I pulled down my shorts and panties and let it flow. Then I fell in it. “And as for The Passion of Christ I think it was the original author of the book that made the Jews look bad, not Mel Gibson. No one wants to look like the bad guy but if you are you are.”

Just as the writer of the book is responsible for the content of the book, the creator of the movie (and Mel takes credit for it) is responsible for the content of the movie.

So he is suppose to omit it to make people feel better about themselves? If he had made less real he would have then been accused of watering down the bible.

Oh, I thought you were talking about a book besides the bible that PotC was based on. (It wouldn't surprise me.)

But I stand by what I said: if a book has an offensive message and you make a movie of it that carries the same message, you are definitely still responsible for the message.

Sure, he could have omitted the message. I would have preferred he just didn't make the whole dumb movie.

I don't feel two ways about the movie actually. I watched the last half of it and I will probably never see it again unless I am bed ridden with a lost remote.

He could have omitted it I guess but then it would have beern really no different that any other Christ filled movie. At least there was no singing.
