Dates

Turns out that speed dating was the best thing I've done for myself in a long time, perhaps ever. I was all smiles all night. I met eleven girls in total for the price that I would have paid for an initial date with one online girl. So I am in total favor of this process because it cuts to the chase and gets me closer and faster to someone I am looking for. I felt that I clicked with all eleven on a conversational level so I went back and evaluated them again and narrowed the field down to seven with physical attraction as a guideline. One of which already had in interest in me but I felt she was the only one who was borderline in my decision making so I don't think I will follow up. I'm in this for the long term so I might as well refuse to settle. There will be plenty more opportunities to find someone that gives that "winner" signal.

What's really cool is the feedback I am getting from people I see in my daily life. I'm getting tons of support, praise, and questions about the process (not just of speed dating but how I "manned" up to do it). Even my parents played 50 questions with me. I know something is working because the old me would have panicked and found an excuse to chicken out so I am glad that I went through with this aggressively and seeing it positively until the end.

I can't wait to go again but my wallet says otherwise. I will attempt this on a monthly basis though. As I said before, worst case, I'm getting to meet and chat with so many girls that I'd never get to normally do on my own so I applaud the process. It's all amazing practice with potential for more. In the meantime, I will continue to read, research, and reshape myself into someone that cannot be denied.
