The Good, the Sad, and the Chibi
I have some good news and some bad news. First, the bad.
Last Thursday, sometime between the hours of 3:00 and 6:00 AM, Chibi GB suffered a catastrophic hardware failure, blowing both her motherboard and the boot sector of her hard drive. We did all we could to save her, but after seventy-two grueling hours of open-case surgery, we were forced to concede that too many of her components were just too far gone. On Sunday evening, we disconnected her power cord and closed her case for the final time.
Our efforts were not all in vain, however. Thanks to some quick thinking and even quicker recovery work, we managed to transfer Chibi GB's consciousness into my brand-new Western Digital 160GB Passport. I'm happy to report that she is adjusting well to her new form and is quite excited about her newfound portability. To her friends and well-wishers, she bids a hearty "0100100001100101011011000110110001101111" and looks forward to interfacing with them soon.
