During week 1 Lawrence and Josephine managed to fall in love all on their own, while I was playing other households, and they were just visiting. The cuteness was too much to bear, so come week 2, Lawrence moved in with Josephine straight away.
Ah, the cuteness.
Lawrence also managed to unlock water and electricity, so now they can have phones and whatnot! Yay!
Then, Important Happenings ... uh, Happened. Yes.
Josephine: I think I might be pregnant Lawrence!
Lawrence: Ok.
Pretty stoic there, aren'tcha?
Both of them actually rolled the want to get married, which made me so happy. Lawrence will be taking Josie's name, since she's the founder, and I want to document that line as such.
Cameron and Wallis are the first ones invited over by phone :D
Wallis: Congrats on upcoming baby and wedding! Here, have some tomatoes!
Lawrence: Um, thanks...
Ah, beautiful wedding night. Arch in the backyard, the groom trying to make the rain stop, and the bride jumping in the puddles made by aforementioned rain.
I just want to point out one thing: They're all sitting. No one sits down during a wedding in my game. They're all usually too busy with chips and telly and gossip and whatnot. I love these sims :) A wee bit of wedding spam:
The cuteness. It slays me. When I thought it couldn't get cuter, this happens:
Darin and Peggy stood in the hallway after the ceremony and flirted and kissed until both of them fell in love with each other! I have never had so many sims fall in love autonomously before. And in other sims' homes too!
Then Lawrence dragged Peggy away to tell her how he thinks stink is utterly hilarious. Peggy is not amused. I have no idea why I took that photo. It amused me?
Pop :D
I love this interaction. I'm always directing my couples to flirt and kiss at the table, because they look so darn cute doing it.
Darin comes over to visit.
Cameron comes over to steal.
Lawrence: You are smokin' Darin.
What? He isn't even bi, I checked. Just... acknowledging the hotness of his friend I guess?
There aren't a lot of photos of Josie, because she was busy skilling, being pregnant, and you know - not dying. She's doing suprisingly well, really, but has to eat all the time, because they can't afford a better fridge or stove, and neither she nor Lawrence has a lot of cooking skill. The tomatoes they got as a wedding present from Wallis ran out pretty quickly. So, she eats, sleeps and skills, basically. Not very interesting.
After having unlocked water and electricity, Lawrence didn't have a lot to do. So I decided he had to get a career. Seeing as how they have a pond conventiently located in the backyard, I thought Oceanography would be just the thing (Gold Badge in fishing). Also, fresh fish means pregnant lady with hungerbar in the green!
He's really good at it too!
And he loves it. Absolutely loves it. He's even trying to show Darin and June how to do it. I love how they are actually looking at him will putting bait on their hooks!
Lawrence: It's quite easy actually, just put the worm on the hook, and throw the line into the water.
Lawrence: Then you get this!
Darin: That's so neat!
June: What.
This is mostly to show off the glorious, glittering fish on their plates. Also, I think Darin is commenting on the fact that I had to build a second floor, due to forthcoming babyness. He seems sceptical.
Then totally changes his mind!
Darin: Big house for big family YAY :D :D
Lawrence and Josephine: What.
Knowledge and Fortune sims here Darin. I don't think the words "big" and "family" go well together in their vocabularies.
Then again, maybe they do. Lawrence is constantly fussing over Josie and her tummy.
Lawrence: If I push here, do you think it will come out quicker?
Josephine: Uh...
Josephine: I guess it worked Lawrence, aaaah!!!
Meet first born Quinn Woods! :D
Both Lawrence and Josie are really good parents. It's so sweet. Though I don't have any photos of Josie actually interacting with Quinn... or that many photos of Quinn as a baby at all, really.
This is mostly to squee over the fact that I have nighttime walkbys.
Peggy: Heeeeere's Peggy!
Um, Peggy - I don't know if quoting movies that involve someone trying to kill off other people whilst in a remote part of the country is really helping out on your status as the town outcast...
She decided to try to murder Lawrence through a game of chess instead. And her brain-melting vampire-stare.
I think it's working.
Again: The cuteness!
Now I'm just showing off the epicness that is my sims.
And now showing off the not-so-epicness.
This was the start of wee Quinn's birthday. Yeah. Nevermind going out in a blaze of glory, the Woods' start off in a blaze of glory! Well, a blaze anyway.
Still, there was cake. And lots of stink clouds.
And more cuteness! Well, cute in a kind of weird, squishy way. But I just love that he doesn't look generic :D
This is some party.
Peggy was really not having the best time. But then Quinn went and autonomously asked for attention from her, snuggling his way into her Family sim-heart. You are in my good book forever little man!
At this point the household was in utter chaos due to the fire, and I simply stopped taking photos for the rest of the party (which ended on Good Time despite everything!). Until bedtime:
Aw pouty. Also, those eyebrows are insane. And apparently his hair changes with his PJs.
And then the week was over, with Lawrence heading off to his first day as a Fish Chummer, yay! No photo of his acheiving his gold badge, but oh well.
