(reads October 5th analysis) heheh.... Round 3 left me quite a happy camper. ^^
Good god, am I disappointed in how Dog Days fell. Out in just two rounds. I figured it'd be among the more popular shows this past year. T_T Well, at least a season 2 was announced. Let's see how that will fare. For now, I'm still rooting mainly for the MadoMagi girls.
Personally, I found Haqua to be quite a decent character... but then, I have yet to watch Hanasaku Iroha. I have been catching up on my other streams though; Nebs, you might be pleased to know that I found Astarotte to be one of the better Kugyuu roles out there (even though a succubus traumatized out of sexual activity makes no sense; it'd be like a bear cub being turned off from eating because it watched its mother brutally tear a salmon to shreds). But on the other hand, I'm now left even more pissed that Henriette lost to Aria since the villains were pretty much the best part of Milky Holmes.... but regardless of my lack of disgust towards Rotte, it seems as though in the current round, Erica Hartmann's actually giving her a run for money. A real shame, 'cause right now, I'm really fucking pissed at Erica for screwing Tenshi out of her Best 8 position for the second year in a row (and against another far less deserving character, no less... if it wasn't for that damn ceiling cat that showed up halfway into the series). Considering some of her rounds were decided with literally a couple votes, Erica's lucky to even be there in the first place. DX
And Kirino.... eesh. I know my earlier remarks indicate that she's hardly my favorite character, but she's still a helluva lot better than that loli nun who does shit next to nothing in her own series. To some degree, I can feel your pain, because that was just an utterly shameful display on the part of the OreImo faction. 280 votes? For what was purported to be a powerhouse character? Were these people even fucking trying? They also lost Ayase (yandere! T_T) that way, and against an opponent who didn't even break 300 votes. But at least they finally regained their senses when Kuroneko's turn came up.
Saten-san, who was the top performing "Railgun" girl from last year (god knows why)
Yeah, I don't get it either. Personally, I found pretty much none of the Railgun-originals to be as intriguing as the Index characters.
ah... an exception is to be made for Kiyama-sensei. Just something about being a spontaneous stripper who looks like a caffeine addict. XD Her motives and backstory weren't bad either.
