Hot off the heels of releasing the
English dub trailer & release information for K-ON, Bandai Entertainment has now launched an official English website for the series. It's actually quite similar to the Lucky Star website they launched
three years ago, perhaps unsurprisingly.
The pages on the site are the usual lot you'd expect to see, & are still pretty vacant for the most part. The character profiles are interesting though, as they reveal the English dub actresses for some more of the main cast. We already knew the VAs behind the
four main season one leads, but now we got the secondary girls as well. Yui's best friend Nodoka Manabe will be played by the lovely Laura Baily (Lust in FullMetal Alchemist, Shin in Shin-Chan, Tokine in Kekkaishi). Personally I don't understand how they can cast someone with such a cute voice, in a show filled with girls who are supposed to have cute voices mind you, with the most boring character in the series. Surely she could've been better fit elsewhere, but that's just me.
Wrapping things up, Yui's little sister Ui Hirasawa will be played by Xanthe Hugnh (Siesta in Familiar of Zero, Suzuka in Lyrical Nanoha, Monaka in Kite Liberator). The remaining two season one regulars don't appear in the first volume, so they're voice actresses are still TBA. Unfortunately this includes
Azunyan, who I'm sure many fans are just dying to know who'll play her (I know I sure am). & the other of course is the teacher Sawako Yamanaka. Hopefully we'll learn who plays them soon enough. In the meantime, check out the full live site here:
