Saimoe 2010: Round 1, Day 12
Winners: Nodoka (K-ON), Wilhelmina (Shana)
As it turned out, Nodoka beat Yoshinoya pretty soundly. K-ON fans seem to be taking this first round a lot more seriously than they did last year, perhaps because the manga & anime are both ending next month. Votes were still a bit on the low side, though. Even more so for the other group, but Wilhelmina was still able to pull out a victory because of her relationship with "Shana." Full results:

Wow, tough luck for "Hayate" fans today. Both Maria & Sakuya are competing against each other. Usually I'd be worried that a split-vote might end up with both of them losing, but their competition is so week this round that surely one of them will wind up the victor. The question is which one. I'm sure this guy will be doing everything in his power to make sure Sakuya wins, but it'll probably end up being Maria. As I'm really that big of a fan of Maria, I'll be rooting for Sakuya as well.
The other group is a tough match-up, as it features one of the strongest finalists from last year, Koromo from "Saki." She made it further than any other "Saki" girl, which is saying a lot. But this returning champ has to go up against some really strong newbies. Her biggest threat is the form in my personal favorite from "Nyan Koi," the extremely cute tsundere Akari. The other two are nothing to sneeze at either, as we got Nozomi from "Stray Cats Overrun" & Koume from "Taisho Baseball Girls" as well. I'm expecting Koromo to win, but totally hoping for Akari!
