Sentai Filmworks announced at their Anime Expo that they had licensed & will be simulcasting one of the most anticipated series of the Summer- High School of the Dead! The series will stream shortly after they air in Japan on the Anime Network's website, making it their second official simulcast after last season's Demon King Daimao. But unlike Daimao, this series will ONLY stream on the Anime Network & not elsewhere as well. The first episode is up now, & is available to all free registered users. There's no mention at this point if further episodes will also be free, or if you have to be a paying premium member like what they're currently doing with Maid-Sama.

In addition to simulcasting High School of the Dead, Sentai also licensed the DVD rights. In fact, they'll be dubbing the series as well. Even though Sentai has already begun dubbing some of their titles, it's still weird to see them say they'll dub a brand new title from the get-go like this. It should prove to be a good seller for them, though.
