Saki's Second Nodocchi Figure
The beautiful & talented Nodocchi/Nodoka from "Saki" is set to get her second anime figurine. It's similar in style to her first figure, but it's being created by Alter rather than Wave like the first figure was. As such, we can assume (& early photos seem to agree) that this one will be a finer product than the last, as Alter has a much better track record. Wave, meanwhile, has disappointed in the past. That's not to say their Nodocchi figure was bad, but Alter's does seem to look better.
This new version will also be slightly bigger (1/8 scale vs 1/10) for nearly the same cost. Retailing for 7800 yen (~$88), Nodocchi is due to come out in Japan this November.
As good as she looks here though, I've expressed before of my desire to have a figure of Nodoka in her traditional school uniform outfit, just because she looks so fantastic in it. Instead we get yet another of her in her angel mahjong look. At least another Saki character, the young Koromo, is getting a figure in her more traditional clothing:
