Funi Streams Edited Sacred Blacksmith

As I posted yesterday in the most recent This Week in Free Anime & Manga posting, FUNimation has started streaming "the Sacred Blacksmith," which they had announced as licensed earlier this year. Unfortunately Funi seems to have chosen to stream the TV edited version, & not the proper uncut version like they do for most of their series. & even though it's an edited version, they've chosen to label the series as mature & you must enter your age to confirm viewing. But I have no doubt little doubt that they'll release a proper unedited version on DVD, so if you want all the (in my opinion surprising) nudity this series has to offer, you'll have to pay for it.

The question of course is why FUNimation chose to show the edited version on their site. Sure it might make sense to stream censored versions of series like Dance in the Vampire Bund & Strike Witches, but why show an edited version of Sacred Blacksmith when series like Sekirei stream uncut? After all, the fan-service in the series appears to focus on the more mature side. Some say too mature in fact, as this screencap from the unedited Japanese Blu-ray can attest to:

As a side note, if Funi chose to show only the censored version of that scene even on DVD/Blu-ray, do you think the fan uproar would be as big as it was for Vampire Bund?

Anyway, the probable reason that FUNimation is showing the edited version isn't because of the nudity that's featured in these earlier episodes, but rather they looked ahead at the nudity to come. Uncensored nudity of the loli character Lisa occurs towards the end of the series, which might help explain Funi's decision:
