The top selling anime DVDs & Blu-rays in Japan over the past year have been revealed, courtest of Oricon. On the DVD front, Hayao Miyazaki's
Ponyo on a Cliff by the Sea sold far more than any other DVD out there, earning over 4 billion yen (~$45 million). But on Blu-ray disc,
Rebuild of Evangelion 1.11 sold more than any other high-def anime out there, earning 590 million yen (~$6.4 million). Other notable releases this year include Gintama, Gundam 00, Bakemonogatari, & K-On. Check out the details below:
