The cold that won't die and Anime boobies
Man... this cold is driving me nuts. It is killing my wife and it's just annoying the crap out of me.
Yesterday, I felt pretty darn good. Work wasn't so bad. I think because I was out of the house did me some good. But when I got home, holy crap did the coughing kick in again.
Heather can hardly breathe, she's gasping for air when she coughs, that's how bad it is for her. I made a Target run to the pharmacy to get her some stuff with codeine in it. I think it's helping because this morning her coughs don't sound like she's dying anymore. She's still coughing like a madman though.
I had a rough time coughing too, just less frequently. Since Heather was the sickest in the family, she went to bed early last night. I toughed it out with Phineas.
Phin was getting sleepy in the living room so I turned out the lights and watched Air Gear Episode 1 on Anime Network on Demand. By the time the show had finished the opening theme, Phin was asleep.
Air Gear is pretty much like Jet Set Radio meets the Airborne movie (one of my favorite movies with Seth Green). Since its anime on cable, it is dubbed, but the dub was pretty good. The main character sounds alot like the voice of the main character of Bleach. Probably the same Voice Actor.
Well even though the show is about in-line skating, the most rememorable part of the episode was the immediate boobies shown in a typical all girl group bath scene. These scenes are typical in anime, but usually happen about halfway through a series like on episode 8 or 9 out of 24 episodes. But episode 1???
So today here at work, I checked youtube for the subtitled version and sure enough, the original run in Japan, the boobs were covered up by some strategically placed flying birds. That makes more sense.
Anyway, I was shocked to see this in an anime about skating and the fact that this was the first episode makes me think this whole series is going to be straight up perverted. WTF?
