Feeling so very proud of myself today, when I woke up yesterday and decided to not light a cigarette and to see how long I could last without one well I'm still going over 38 hours later. I kept thinking last night how it would be such an enormous shame if I lit one now after so many hours, I'm still of that frame of mind and just do not want to spend any more money on them again now or in the future.
Also something else that made me feel good today, the scales moved off the mark they have been pretty much stuck on for two and a half months to the kilo below which did make me almost jump up in the air, I lifted my arms at least.
Today Angelica is due home from her icy expedition hike, its the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh assessed hike award so very important. To celebrate her achievement Imogen and I cooked Party in the Pot Rice with Vegetable Curry, the house smells like home and the atmosphere is beautifully relaxing. Harvey watched Matilda whilst we put all the dinner on, Dad is in the garage hoovering out the car, Ivan on his bike next to the house on the side street and Joe is finishing two movie reviews which need to be handed in tomorrow. I am about to turn all the pots off on the cooker and do some knitting on Angelica's shrug style cardigan, I currently up to halfway across the back section so its going quite well I think, bit boring all in stocking stitch but the next one will be better in a lace of some kind once I get the overall shape with bust darts finalised.
So a very good day indeed, a happy Sunday which is fantastic. Tomorrow morning we collect our new car!!
