how it goes into the book
Week 1 of Darcy's Postcard Challenge started on Monday with the announcement of the first country - AUSTRIA - which immediately brought to mind skiing and the amazing ski slopes, I also thought about the orchestras and famous classical composers but went with skiing as I wanted my first card to be mainly drawn by hand not a complete collage.
I did the card using neocolors which I added water to blend, white pearl acrylic paint, silver glitter paint for the icy highlights not showing up in the photograph, did the skiing teddy, lamps and lettering on paper separately cut them out and stuck them into position, the rest was done in graphitinit and inktense pencils, some marker pens on top.
On the back of the card I printed out an Austrian postage stamp and popped it in place, didnt have a clue what to write on the card so completely out of nowhere yesterday came this :
"Hey B,
advanced to the big slopes now, its totally awesome. Missing you loads this is all not the same without your smile, maybe next time ... Austria is just as pretty as you said it would be, I just love it! Orchestra in Vienna is mind blowing, I'm studying hard each day. Bye, love K."

Cant wait to see what next week's country will be ..........
