...... we'd moved in!
After spending four weeks here, I now feel I can state all the things I have noticed which are significantly different about living in the south east as a mother of six than the north east of England. Here is the list in no particular order :
a) Loads more things on offer for the kids to take part in, there is literally ( Read more... )

Is it better because it is home or are the benefits of living there really that good? How are the benefits. Do you have to re-apply or just transfer them? Are the doctors more involved there? My doctor is only a few blocks away but I don't feel like he is involved either in 'my case' or in the neighbourhood. What is the job market like? Are there any universities or colleges around? I ask because I am ready to run...any day now.

It would be hard on Ralph to move away since he has family here but I was wondering since I think we might need to look further afield for a better job for him. He isn't getting paid commisurate with his responsibilities where he is now and it's ridiculous for him to waste the years of his career where he should be highest paid sitting here waiting for something to happen or the school to suddenly wake up and raise his salary.

This all sounds wonderful! Happy birthday to Angelica for tomorrow. :o)

You are so lucky to live in a place like that, I dream of bringing my kids up in that kind of environment with the whole world at their feet. I'm afraid to say my town is something similar to what you have left behind and I hate it. My husband works in a neighbouring city which is only sixteen miles away but he says the difference is unbelievable. I've always felt out of place here but my family is settled and there is no way they would want to move despite the abundance of extra opportunities it would give us all.

Helen, this is so wonderful. I love all the amenities they offer around you now. Petrol and electric alone are massive changes. The other family will hate it now for switching. It will take them a bit to find this out though. It sounds like everything is for the right reasons and it is all falling in place so wonderfully. Except for the peepers you had the other day and I assume that was taken care of quickly too. We have had that here once and the police dealt with it right away. It was my neighbors house not mine but they took care of it for her ( ... )

I just discovered your blog this morning and have read back for YEARS! About 12 hours of reading, because your tenacity, strength, boldness, bravery and intelligence impressed me an incredible amount! I too and disabled, with many other medical difficulties and you are a wonderful role model. Thank you for this amazing you, I am grateful!

I wish you tons of happiness and sucess both in health and futures for all you family. They are ALL wonderful, and it makes me wish so much that I had one, too! Bless you all....
