Birthday and such
I AM NOW 18! :O Finally? I don't know. I missed voting, I don't plan to smoke.. But nonetheless, now I am officially an "adult", whatever that means. If I get into trouble, my parents can't really help me out? I can get a credit card?
Weekend with parents was so so wonderful. I woke up fever-ish on Saturday though. And then didn't really feel better until we finally bought medicine before we left mall and then was so so much better at dinner. But at the mall, I bought a scarf, gloves, hat (all from AE), nice shirt, and boots (for pharmacy presentation Friday... I'm really sick of being the only one who cares, really... I hate writing emails and being like "so.. what are we doing?" because we need to plan who is talking about which slides). Then we went to CPK with Jaye and Austin. Mmm, pizza and pasta! For dessert, we went to the Cheesecake Factory and I got a chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake. So yummy! Afterward, we went off to our hotel. Oh man, bed on the floor and a bath! Breakfast was iffy, and then went to Macy's! At Macy's I bought 2 more pairs of boots. One pair is to like mid-calf and so so gorgeous and soft. It was really good spending so much time with my parents and not worrying about school work and being all stressed out like I normally am. Less than a month to get through and then winter break!
My mother bought me a gold necklace with a jade donut (there's a Chinese name to it which is much prettier, but I cannot remember it...) which is really pretty and I don't have to deal with taking it on and off because it was waterproof! But it gives me protection, but I'm not sure from what. Oh well. They also bought me more Moose Munch. I haven't opened it yet though. I should! This weekend I will treat myself and my suite mates to it!
Tiffany sent me this gift basket of Starbucks stuff and Moo sent me a flower bouquet and a balloon! I need to take pictures of these things! Ate the fruit already though. Chocolate-covered goodness. But man, I love getting packages! Woot! My suite mates bought me a cupcake for my birthday. I have a picture on my cellphone of the insane amount of frosting on it. I started to eat the frosting.. and then gave up. But the chocolate cupcake part was yummy.
On Friday night, Samantha was on iChat with some of her friends and it was so much fun talking to them. Well, I didn't really talk, but I listened a lot and just it was cool. Then we went to BHOP at like midnight. Mmm late night pizza!
I finally bought Fourth Comings, the 4th Jessica Darling series book! I should get the other books from home! And there is one more book! I don't know when it's coming out, but awesome!
Yesterday, I made roasted root vegetables with my mentor for the AASIA Thanksgiving potluck. Root vegetables are very hard to cut, but the result was very good. I kinda wish I had pictures. Recently, I haven't taken pictures at all. I don't know why I'm being so lazy. I used to be so camera addicted! We also had to go shopping before hand, and I bought some babybel cheese and extreme screaming dill pickle pringles. The pringles are very yummy and very strong. It's like woah! Yeah, I don't know...
It all of the sudden got like really cold. My parents were like "I don't know why we're wearing so much clothes!" and now my hands and my legs in the space between my jacket and my boots are freezing. I am so not used to it. Also, my nose randomly started bleeding during chem, so one.. I didn't understand the lecture and two.. I need to hand wash my scarf because there is blood on it! Boo body! My gloves are pretty, but not warm enough! Another shopping trip to make...but it's not too warm in my classes that I automatically feel like I have to shed off my layers. Seriously though, I SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SEE MY BREATH IN MID-MORNING! I want to see it snow already! I love love my winter clothes. Getting all covered up is nice.
I randomly got really motivated to edit my English essay earlier. And I started writing and I was still motivated. So weird! And then I came back from dinner and it had died by then. Oh well. I will do intense editing tomorrow, and then turn it in Friday!
Oh goodness, dinner today was funny. We called it "mystery food day". First, Alex got this chili which was more just like bean soup and it was brown-ish and we were like "what?" and talking about how it looked like dirt and stuff. Then I found sausage in my baked ziti, but not too much, so it was okay, just odd. We also had some chip thingies that seemed like the Chinese chip thingies that I can get from one restaurant, but I don't think they were trying to imitate those and we didn't know what they were called, but yummy and we ate them anyways despite how fried they were (and therefore unhealthy, woe). Then, Sam was so so dissapointed that her chocolate ice cream tasted like mint. She was like "I keep taking bites and hoping that it will taste more chocolatey.." for a couple of minutes before giving up on it.
Always sleepy in the middle of the day.. and then awake at night! Woe. Oh well, reading in bed!
