Modern girls always have to go

I go home... in a week. How strange! I still haven't packed though. Will do so after my last final (Tuesday!)

On Thursday, Kirti and I went to see Knowing with Nicolas Cage in it... It was okay. Although, we went in thinking it was just a sci-fi movie.. and then it was horror too. Oh goodness. We wanted to see Coraline, but it isn't in theatres anymore. Before seeing the movie, we spent like an hour in Blick art store. Oh, love to art supplies! We wanted to find a cute coffee place... but none close, so we went to Starbucks and just hung out there for awhile (while I drank my usual London Fog).

Boston isn't too hard to navigate. Well, just... at least if Pru is in view! But it was like midnight so I was like "ahh!" and we had just seen a scary movie. Also, Kirti and I both suck at directions, but she's better than me at least.

Tonight, I saw the musical Company with Lynne! It was iffy, but I do love things that talk about the fine line of being 2 opposite emotions. Then, we went back to her dorm room and I showed her Norwegian Recycling music videos! We wanted to do something spontaneous and fun... but we're kinda boring people who don't know how to come up with ideas. SAD! Then we went to Starbucks (I got a green tea frappuccino!) and decided to walk around campus aimlessly... except that it was raining, barely, but it was pretty steady. Oh well. Since we couldn't walk around really, we hung out at the Marino Center. We are in agreement that the piece of art on the wall is there to make us hungry (it's right by Au Bon Pain) because it has a baguette and cup of coffee on it in the mix.. of other crap. We lamented over the fact that we really haven't explored Boston well. Next semester, we plan to take the T more often to places... and not spend Saturday nights in, surfing facebook. Goodness.

I actually really like finals week, except for having finals. Because I've been doing pretty good this semester and I got done with 2 of my finals on the first day. Chem is not too hard and I have a schedule planned out... so I spend some time on reviewing chapters and then playing at night! Also, reflection essay for Asian American history shouldn't be too bad.

Monday is Patriots' Day (day remembering the Battle of Lexington and Concord). Lynne asked me today whether I planned to watch part of the marathon. I was like "what? people go and watch marathons?" and apparently the Boston Marathon is really famous... and gets played on television and people travel here from around the world to participate in it. O_o I've helped cheer as a volunteer for AIDS Walk... but going out and waiting for runners to pass me and just hanging out? I don't know... Also, we think that one day while we talk, one of us will mention some crazy idea that we think is normal and then... the other one will just be so so shocked. Like "What? You don't have dogs in California?" type shock.

I should be sleepy, but I'm not. I think I got over my hump earlier. Because I was tired at 10 but then was like "noo, staying up because it is my last Saturday of the school year!" Plus, I have other then studying... I have no plans for tomorrow. Except maybe going to see a latin dance comp at night. I don't know yet.

I'm going to be an AASIA mentor for next year! Yay!
