久しぶり
's been a while. I know I should update this thing more, but I'm just so damn lazy.
So what's happened recently? Not much. Lessee... This past weekend my bike had a tire. A flat tire that is. Its always had a regular tire. Two, in fact. So after I find out, as I;m still in the area hanging out with another ALT (and its a friday) I go back to school to pump it fulla air. No go. Its flat again by the time I get on it to ride. So I make the several km walk back to my apartment. Well, I ran part of the way, and when I really couldn't take it any longer, I rode the bike back despite the flat (about 1 km at that point). Ended up getting it fixed. Had to wait about 30 minutes (not including the walk to the store) but I managed to convey in my broken Japanese to the salesguy the problem. Heck, on the way home the first night with the flat, I managed to convey (without actually understanding any of what she said) to the lady at the post office my address, and when to deliver the box my parents sent that they alway try to devliever during working hours. So I suppose the next stop is trying to actually understand what the people around me are saying. (Which I'm getting better at, as I learn more vocab and more grammar, but still a long ways to go!)
Parents still have the three cats around. Everything seems to be going as normal there.
I know 400 kanji now easily. Or, at least 1 pronunciation for each kanji that I know how to write. (Though some have many, many more).
Haven't been playing games recently, since the british show Primeval captured my attention. Of course, this is the second show that I've gotten into airing on ITV, and also the second one that's been cancelled in its third season with no conclusion. (In fact, it ended on a cliffhanger, being as the rating were good the writers didn't think they'd get the axe.)
Still haven't been able to see the second season of the Sarah Jane adventures. My problem, of course, is the fact that the CD John gave me seems to be blank-- according to both the xbox and my mac. I don't think I brought the wrong CD from home, but...
I have some pictures to post up (on facebook), but... so... lazy.
Went to a gyoza making party recently. Fun.
Oh, a company I applied to back in march started bugging e again. I've asked off for an interview, since they have a lot of places in yamanashi that they provide ALTs for-- and I currently live in Yamanashi. My current employer can't guarentee a position within this prefecture. So we'll see. Haven't actually heard from them on if I can get the day off yet or not though.
I cleaned my apartment recently. You'd be disgusted with how dirty I let it get this time, but with the heat and the summer coming, and the humidity, I knew it needed to be done. All I really need to do now is clean the shower room. An activity I also keep putting off. (Sensing a trend?)
Yes, I know I've made spelling errors, but its late and I need to get to bed and don't care enough at them oment.
I'll try to write more in here though. And stuff.
