Blessings come at the best moments, right? :) I'm so happy for you and other trans that there are accepting and loving people in this world. There's no reason you should feel fear for making a decision to be HAPPY.

oh trailer packs...I didn't know you were a projectionist, how cool! I was a projectionist myself for 3 years...it was a really fun job and I loved it, but it paid really crappy for me =P Yea, Thursday nights were always the most work..breaking down the old movies to ship out, building new prints of the new movies coming in, updating trailer packs, moving the prints around...we'd be there till 3am most Thursday nights!

I'm really happy for you and this big step you are taking and I hope everyone at the theatre takes it well and it goes smoothly for you =)

Thanks so much,i hoping things go well ,but like ya said the pay is pretty poor,i did well as a union projectionist in Conn, and got some cool outside projection jobs like working for Paul Newman and got to screen dailies for films shot in the area.

Just in case you were starting to see a pattern, I've never been a projectionist. :) I've been a bike mechanic, a robotics engineer, a bum, an HR wage slave and a government treehugger, in about that order. My motto's always seemed to be "Movies? It'll be on TV in three years!"

Keri, fingers crossed for your next few days. It's five years almost to the day since it was my turn, and I know how you must be feeling.

Hi Becky, you know you're # 1,projectionist or not, lol. I've got some idea of what to expect thanks to your journal and those i've read on my lj friends list.I know it could go in any and all directions,i hope the staff will understand. The meetings taken place,i haven't heard anything.I'm going to work on Tuesday as ken, getting my hair cut colored or streaked and i'm going to work on thursday as Keri, assuming i'm still employed.I prepared for whatever happens,i'm scared and so excited to begin the life i've always wanted to live and it's finally happening! Thanks for everything, the emails,lj comments and our marathon chats, mostly thanks for your friendship,it means so much!
