I've no regrets but...

Ok, I don't like henna. I love the conditioning benefits, the reason I did it. I noticed a difference right away! This morning I washed it out and did a 7hr deep conditioning treatment (pretty damn vital if you color your hair with henna!) and I'm really hating the color. I've had dark reddish brown hair most of my life and its usually only visible in sunlight but this is noticeable indoors, too. The thing I dislike most about it though is that my skin has an orangey tone */see user pic/* and the henna is obviously orangey.... and um, it washes out my features, I think. I should have stuck with my plan to use indigo to darken it. Now I'm doing research to see what rinses I can safely use to cover the color, if any. If not I'll keep with the indigo idea. I actually hate the idea of using chemicals anymore and that's why I went along with the henna. If I can find something to cover the henna color I'll continue to use henna forever! We'll see. By the way, henna is permanent. The plants dye molecules penetrate the hair shafts and bind with the keratin which makes it stronger, which I'm loving, but also pretty much makes it permanent, which sucks. I've learned that it gets darker with each application also it takes a few days for the color to oxidize and may change. Idk how much I want to wait for either. By the way, it probably won't look that different to anyone else nor do I look 'crazy'. It's fine, I just want dark hair.

My fucking hands are still orange and I have class soon. D:

MEH!

OHHH I forgot that I can use amla to darken it, too....I actually have some. I'll see what happens but I'll research first. I just don't want chemicals really. :(
