And I don't know if it's because it makes just as much sense as comic canon.
I feel I'd enjoy it just as much if Rachel had been all - Jeremy's Charlie's father, I met him in the parking lot of some bar. It obviously wasn't momentous enough for him to remember me 11 years later, or knowing Jeremy he would have said something.
