Today was the last day at my (now ex)full time job. It was such a great relief to be out of there, it put me in the best mood. That place was really wearing down on me, the stagnation of my position, the lack of future growth, the repetitiveness. I am definitely very happy to be done with the place. It's a big surreal, I don't have to get up at 4:30am tomorrow, I can sleep in until 6:30-7:00am like a normal human being.
I've got so much to do in the next 6 days before my departure date, though. It's a bit overwhelming.
Tomorrow, I believe, is going to be my only "relax" day (after my 4 hour shift at the company of whom I am moving for and going full time with). The only thing I've got to do tomorrow is go to work, stop by the veterinarian office and get a bag of Rex's special food and a prescription for when I need more in Alabama, go to the market, drop off my bit of rent owed for 7 days of February, and then I plan to relax. No wait, I've got to go to the Credit Union and close my account as well.
Saturday I'm going to lunch with a friend and I've got to pick up a few more packing materials to put away the last little bit of my stuff.
Sunday I've got to do laundry and run errands to wrap up some loose ends
Monday I've got to work, go see a friend, and go to the chiropractor, and stop by the pharmacy
Tuesday I've got to work, go to lunch with a friend, come home and disconnect my modem and TV box, and go to the cable company and turn them in and turn off my service, then I've got to call the electric company to have my service turned off on Thursday. Then I've got to pack the last of my daily essentials, prepare my travel bag, clean out the cats' litter box and lay down their "Travel litter".
Wednesday I've got to go to work, go get the moving truck, go to my boss' house and pick up an entertainment center they're giving me, then wait for the 4 fellas that are going to load the truck for me to show up and start packing my stuff into the truck. While they're doing that I've got to go get their payment of Pizza and Beer (lol)
And theeeeeeen Thursday we get up super early, get the cats corralled into their pen and into the car, and we're off!
Thursday we'll be travelling about 719 miles to Scottsdale, AZ. Friday we're travelling about 737 miles to Midland, TX. Saturday we're travelling about 691 miles to Vicksberg, MS.
Theeen on Sunday we're travelling the last 275 miles to Hoover, AL. where I'll be living. Then we've got to unload the truck, take the truck to the rental place, come back to my apartment, unpack the essentials I need right away, and rest a bit. Because Monday it's STRAIGHT to work, no day off to rest or unpack.. Then Tuesday it's work AND a "Welcome" Dinner party for me at a restaurant.
So, I figure that finally by Wednesday 2/13, when I get off work, I can collapse into bed straight away and sleep till the next morning lol.
Man.. I'm tired already
