Long time no write... *cough* Seriously, I suck at blogs. Though I don't think I even need to mention it >_>
Quite a few things happened of course, some nice some less, but overall I'd say everything's OK. Money aside 8D
The worst thing that happened is that I had to quit my part-time job at Lawson :( I worked all of March, but at the end of the month we found out that actually I needed to apply for a special permission at the immigration office. And when I went to do this I was told that with a working visa you're not allowed to work at a conbini... The only way you can is if you have either a marriage visa or a student visa. Basically, with my working visa as language specialist and whatever, the only part-time jobs I can do are language-related things, like teaching foreign languages or translations (though if you teach you might need a special permit depending on where/how much you teach).
It was kinda disappointing, because I don't see why you wouldn't be able to work at a conbini, but the shop owner said it's probably a measure to prevent foreign workers from "stealing" Japanese people's jobs. Though he himself said it's bullshit, lol. I felt sorry that they taught me all that stuff for nothing, but they were also sad because they were looking forward to me getting the permit and continuing, and that made me happy, in a way. Kinda funny how even when people are not racist, the government is >_> Apparently I was pretty popular among the customers because I could actually speak Japanese, lmao.
They still paid me normally for the time I worked, even though in the end it was unlawful 8D; Too bad though, I would've liked to earn some more money DX
Anyway, despite everything I was able to move the 1st of April :D The room I got is actually really nice, now I've been living there for 2 months and haven't had any annoying experiences so far. It's a pretty quiet place, even though it's close to the station (2 stations 8D).
I also started using my bicycle again! XD So far I went from Musashi Kosugi to Kawasaki, Ikebukuro, Odaiba and Akihabara :D When the rainy season is over I wanna go to Yokohama too!
For various reasons I also decided that I want a nicer (meaning "healthier") body, so from around the beginning of May I started going to the gym about 4 days a week 8D So far I've been able to keep that up and I can see the results. Looking forward to continue XD
Except for the above, I've mostly been wasting money on T&B related stuff, lmao. A few months ago the term "taibani hasan (タイバニ破産)", literally "T&B bankruptcy", started trending on Twitter and now it's normally used among Japanese fans (tho I guess it might work overseas as well). As you might guess, it describes the painful situation of the fans' wallets due to the massive amount of figures and other products continuously released >_>
It gets worse if you also buy doujinshi. And it gets even worse if you happen to like reversible pairings... DX So in my case it's bankruptcy every month, lol. Oh well.. I'm happy. That's what matters, isn't it 8D
Now I also have a few friends (all Japanese, somehow) that like T&B on Twitter XD And 2 in real life, which means finally I'm not alone at doujinshi events anymore DX I really love this fandom, though I'm mostly lurking around on Twitter and Pixiv, so actually I have no idea of how people overseas are reacting to everything. A few months ago I was actually surprised because it was absolutely not as popular as in Japan. Though I guess this might change when the English dub comes out? Not that it interests me, but it makes me happy to know that the series is appreciated abroad as well :3
Uuuhh, if I post once in a blue moon the contents tend to be like, messy and completely random >_> I wonder when the next post will be... 8D I'm not even trying to say a date, it will just be unreliable...
