The different ways that Philip and I parent can be so amusing sometimes.
The boys wanted to go to the park after school. I was at a doctor's appointment, but if I had been home, I would have allowed them to go to the park (about three houses away), but I would've given them a whistle and also informed them that I would whistle for them to come home later on. (The park is about three houses away, I should add, but it's not in view.)
But when I got home, Philip did mention that the boys were at the park (I was only just barely in the door, else I would've asked), and I didn't think to question what rules he might've given them as he granted them permission. But just now? I heard this:
*blip, beep*
Jack: Dad?
Philip: Yeah, buddy?
Jack: A.J. just told me to shut up.
Philip: That's not something you need to call me about, bud.
*blip, beep*
So yes, he gave them walkie-talkies for communication. I love it. How come I never think of this stuff?!
