Wake up with a friend.
Annie called this morning and woke me up. It was unusual to not already be awake at 9am, and I couldn't figure out why I'd not been woken up by the noise from the boys. I found out why as I stumbled down the hall - Jack was still asleep, his bedroom door still closed. A-ha!
I dressed and got ready to meet her, and Jack woke up just as she arrived. We left for the massive garage sale at the church, and we found just a few things. Annie picked up a pair of jean shorts for her mom, and I found a Harry Potter game and also Pictionary. Both items were only $1 - not too shabby. Afterwards, we ate a long, leisurely breakfast at IHOP together. When we came back to my house, we chatted for another hour and a half before she finally had to leave.
The boys and I are headed to a birthday party this afternoon. The party is at Papio Greens, and they are excited to play miniature golf for the first time. I'm not excited about the heat this afternoon, but we'll be sweating along with everyone else, I'm sure.
