It's Been Forever

...Or, well, six months since I last updated. I've been a busy girl.

So much has happened, and there is no way for me to recount everything. Highlights of fall '07 include working as a writing fellow, working on volume 5 of theBridge (and knowing that I'll be working on volume 6 next year), non-fiction workshop (during which I wrote a story that is even better than my Tippy piece), applying to NCUR, movie dates and deep talks with Maria, the Entourage Thanksgiving, Tuesday meetings with Walker, making chicken pot pie with Shaylin, getting a monologue (They Beat the Girl Out of My Boy--Or So They Tried) in The Vagina Monologues (February 22nd and 23rd-- save the date), and karaoke at the Great Chow with the Writing Studio. The semester is over now, and though I'm relieved, I'm going to miss all my friends so much.

There were some not-so-good things that happened as well. October was a hard month. My Nana died on October 19th which was a difficult time, but I'm doing okay. For the past couple years, I visited her almost every weekend, and it's strange not doing that anymore. I miss her a lot, but I'm relieved that she's not suffering anymore.

Bandit, one of the cats I kitty-sit for passed away. She was 21, and I knew she lived a good, long life, but I was still devastated when Bob told me she died. I loved that cat.

I'm still working at the bank, which is sometimes good, sometimes not. We were robbed (aww, baby's first bank robbery!) on October 13th. It was really fucked-up, but no one was hurt. I work with a brand new crazy lady who makes me nervous because she flips out when she is criticized. I'm thinking I might leave the bank soon-- for real this time. When I'm at BSC, I'm so much happier. Having the bank in my life is not working for me.

Despite some of the bad things that happened this semester, I can't remember the last time I was so happy. It has taken a long time to get here. All is well.
