In which the safe button is very sticky and under your pants

It's five A.M. Obviously the perfect time to be writing the LJ post I've been meaning to get around to!

So. However long since I last posted has been mostly filled with the several computer/video games I'm currently addicted to. And damn you, greyeyesfire, for introducing me to the free MMORPG called Maple Story (link works best in IE) (My character's Havelock, the assassin-in-training). It has also been filled with Discworld addiction, as the character indicates. One more book to read to finish the Watch series, and wow, the Swarthmore Public Library system has quite a lot of Discworld books! Yay! I'm set for the year! As if I'll have time for pleasure reading!

There was also another wonderful weekend with think_too_much (which wasn't technically a weekend, but bugger it). It involved seeing Guys and Dolls, which led to Anthony Warlow's "Luck Be A Lady" playing on repeat in my head and on my computer pretty much nonstop since then. It involved going out for Thai food, which led to the discovery that I really like Thai food (and the permanent ruination of Sharples' Thai Bar). It involved Liberty Science Center, which led to the quote in the subject line being forever burned into my memory. Yes, that is an actual quote from an exhibit of children's inventions. I have had some time to ruminate on the meaning of it, and I have decided that there are some things that man is just not meant to know.

The remainder of this week will be quite busy; greyeyesfire and I are going to Spamalot on Wednesday (w000000000t) and Otakon on Friday/Saturday (gimme another w00000000t). We have quite a bit of costuming to finish up--greyeyesfire has sewing, we both have to make me a massive Stan, and I have to finish painting her sculpted dagger. There will certainly be pictures (and hopefully pictures of me with Tim Curry, or something like that (w0000t)). And then, quite soon now, it's Swarthmore. I'm currently in the 'excited about new classes and fixing up Cordwainer' stage, which will last, oh, one week. At most. And then it's quivering ball of stress time (a.k.a. my natural state)! Wheeeeeee!

I really, really should sleep now, especially considering the obscene hour I'll have to wake up at on Wednesday. Instead, I will read The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents. If I'm good, it'll just be a little bit.

Riiiiiight.
