The Funeral & Other Stuff
So, I went to a funeral yesterday of the best friend of my former Dirty Onion smelling ex-boyfriend Mike....
His best friend, Chris Glumm, was shot and died on Friday night last week. I knew Chris and his girlfriend Suzanne really well when I was with Mike. We all hung out all the time. I haven't seen many them in about 7 years, but I keep in touch with Sue via MySpace.
As for the funeral yesterday, I didn’t see Dirty Onion Mess Mike. I guess he went over the Glumm’s house the previous night with his wife and saw the family for about an hour, but was too emotionally distraught to come to the funeral. Pssshhh.. … Coward. I’ve decided to start calling Social Security over and over again until I get through to someone who tells me what I want to hear - “You’ve been paying his debt!?!?! Oh, that’s bullshit!! Let’s take care of this right now!!” - or some version that.
I saw a few of Mike’s friends that remembered me so I made small talk with a few of them. I briefly saw this one friend of Mike's that I had sex with after a drunken night in Canada (after I dumped Mike, ofcourse) but didn’t say anything to him. He looked hot still though :)
Overall, it was really sad. There were a lot of Chris’s friends there, and it is just so sad when a young person is murdered. Obviously, I’m not saying anything we don’t already know, i.e. Mona’s cousin Paul.
After the funeral, I stopped by Grandma Green’s then hung out over Reuter & Kim’s for a bit. Yesterday was Rachel’s bday, so she came by and so did Chuckstin. We were hanging out in the backyard and the neighbor was grinding up what sounded like BONES. We put back a few beers and talked about how since Chuck works for Comcast he should hook us all up with free cable. Then we said that Rachel and Justin couldn’t go into the house alone because those Arabs would be too likely to plot something against the rest of us. We mess with their Lebanese heritage and they give us shit back. And when Mona and Collett are around, it adds another 125% Lebanese advantage:)
In some awesome news, Jeff’s band is playing at the Milan Dragway in front of over 15,000 people on June 30. A reality show called Pinks on Speed TV is being taped there and a few local bands have been booked to play and (X=Y) is one of them!!!! (http://www.milandragway.com/)
Originally, I was going to go to a Tigers game with my Mom, Sister and Hero that day, but I think I’ll be going to the Dragway instead. Even though, I couldn’t care less about the cars. Well, maybe I’ll have some cool stories to tell at work.
So tonight I'm going out with Steph, Cara and a couple of Steph’s friends. We may go to a big party at Steph’s sister Jenny’s house in Farmington after dinner.
