Our TV blew up earlier! Okay, that's a little overdramatic; it didn't so much blow up, as something in it popped. I went downstairs to ask Mam if I could borrow her credit card, and she was flicking channels and everything was all yellow-tinted. She went "the TV's took a wobbler...it was fine, and then it clicked and went yellow." So I wandered over to it to try and check all the wires etc were plugged in properly. I was mid-sentence and stopped, going "Er ..." Mam: "What?" Me: "Does something smell .... burning?"

Eek. We decided that something inside, a colour valve or SOMETHING, has popped. So I spent an hour setting up my portable TV from Uni on a little table in fron of the TV, which, by the way, looks ridiculous.

Got it running through the outside aerial but can't pick up BBC2 for absolutely NO reason. Can pick up all channels, but all FUZZY, through the video machine. It MAKES NO SENSE! But arrgh. At least we can watch DVDs and all the channels, even if BBC2 can only be watched on the video channel and fuzzy. Eh. And we can't attach the Freeview box 'cause there aren't enough sockets. And it's a bank holiday weekend so we can't call anyone out til Tuesday.

Boo hiss.

At least I got it all set up in time for Doctor Who.
