Thursday.
Dan called me this morning at 7:45am, and whispered "I called in sick to work, but I'm actually coming down to see you!" He's really messed up about his grandmother. So he came down, and we made som faux Hamburger Helper (KD with ground beef, lol) and lounged around with the animals and watched TV.
He left around 4pm to go visit his grandma, but it was cancelled. Apparently the home said no more visitors for a few days, because she's having a really hard time settling in. It must be awful, to think your family is abandoning you, to not understand that you're sick, and they had no choice...
Later I walked up to hang out with my friend Jay on his break from HMV. I saw a "Bela Lugosi Collection" DVD that I want! We went to Eaton's in the food court and ate & talked about stuff. He lent me some money, too. Then I walked back through the Eaton Center, which I guess is actually Sears now, bought a sympathy card for Troy's dad, Morgan, and walked home in the rain, which I really didn't mind. I like the rain when it's drizzly and mild.
And now I'm in the office, checking my mail, and updating lj, and then I'm going home.
Oh yeah, yesterday Dan brought me a "Guitar for Beginners" book of his, and his electronic tuner, so I could begin learning to play that Ibanez guitar my friend Jeremy gave me. I really have no desire to learn how to play it, but maybe I'll give it a shot. Who knows? I may be an undiscovered virtuoso, lol!
PS- I think I've lost about 4 lbs. Not much, but it beats gaining!!!
