Most Counselors Are of No Help Giving Advice on Dealing with Family About Saving Water
I get counseling from an Orange County California LGBT center where I discuss many issues most not related to being LGBT, but one big problem I frequently have is most of the counselors I get either don't know anything about saving water (my apartment's water bill is high) or they act like I'm crazy because they think I don't have a water bill--"apartments don't get water bills" they say so as a result I can't get advice on how to deal with my mom and space case sister (I've discussed the latter before in another post) on concidering options on how to save water--the counselors think saving water while living in an apartment is unnecessary and unnecessary in general because "California is getting rain now" (supposedly). Worse still they act like I'm imposing some "belief system" on my mom and sister and "we don't need to save water". I have no control over which counselors I get! It's frustrating! What can I do?
