Carpet
My head is spinning. I've been given until Saturday to get my bedroom entirely empty, and paint/carpet/furniture picked out.
I've looked through the memories here, and read everything online I can get my hands on, but I still have one problem... Carpet is confusing as all get-out. I read somewhere that carpets can off-gas VOCs. I read the EPA's bulletin on VOCs. I'm not getting anywhere. Exactly how dangerous is carpet, and what questions should I be bringing to my local flooring retailer? And are there certain brands, styles, or fibers that are more natural than others?
And no, cork is not an option -- I live in my mother's house, and I'm only allowed so much leeway. I'm already pushing it by insisting on a low VOC paint.
