Quick question: How long does honey last?

I bought some honey for my husband at the farmers' market last year, but it got put to the top of a cupboard and forgotten. He's now in the habit of putting honey on his toast, so I want to know if this honey is still alright for him to eat.

It's in the plastic tub that I bought it in, it's been opened maybe twice but never used.

Would it still be safe to eat?
