hi everyone, someone suggested I post here too, which makes sense.

I came in to the hospital yesterday and failed everything (BPP, NST, 24 hour urine etc) and then they had me do a 24 hour urine and I'm spilling protein enough now to be considered pre-eclamptic. It is still mild, but they've had me do a steroid shot series with the expectation of induction at about 34/5 weeks (I am 32 weeks now).

I need your experiences and advice my friends. what were your experiences like with a 32-35 weeker? did you have a steroid shot or no?

I'm doing everything in my power to go home from the hospital tomorrow, I am also diabetic and the steroid shot messes with my blood sugars, so I'm now on insulin but they are working on making sure that they don't get too high and recording as many BPs as possible.

I was really hoping for a homebirth, but that is out of the question now, even with a miracle and that is OK. I was just hoping to avoid a baby born before 36 weeks this time. I had severe preeclampsia at 36 weeks last time and Landon was in the NICU for a week. I didn't want to deal with that again. I worked so hard to keep my blood sugars undercontrol with diet and medication, took a ton of suppplements my midwife suggested AND was doing high protein, but apparently I still suck :-p

sorry this is rough and jumbled!

TIA
Sara
