Today was a very long day

Just to let everyone know that I just got home. Granma is home safe and sound. LEt's hope she rests (we shall see) Today was a very long day. I survived on coffee and little else. I woke up at 4:00 this morning and got on the first bus to my granma's house then from there we took a taxi. She was taken in at 9:00 A.M and came out at 10:30 A.M The removed one of the "bumps" on her neck and I assume will be sending it to pathology for testing.

After she recouped a bit we went down for her gastric scope. I'm really surprised she wanted to go through with it. Both her and I were worried that the stress would be to much for her, but she told me her heart was feeling good and she wanted to get the test over and done with. So who am I to argue with a 90 year old woman. I got to stay with her and be by her side for the whole procedure. Let me tell you that is more of a view of someones insides than I ever thought I would see. I've seen the pics before when I worked at the Montreal General Hospital as a filing clerk but I never thought that I would get to see the test done live. My grandmother had the poor nurse in a head lock and bear hug for the whole time. I had to take over for her when the nurse had to assist to dr to take the biopsy. All I have to say is damn my grandmother is a trooper :) I'm surprised and also proud that she did so well today. My life has come full circle. She was with me for every procedure and test holding my hand and comforting me every step of the way when I had cancer and multiple surgeries for my club foot now I have to be there for her.

Well that's it folks i'm off to get a much needed nap.
