Went to the Japanese garden on Wednesday, which completely tuckered us out and left us virtually useless. We were taking photos for a t-shirt design for my dad and he's already asking to see a final project - even though it probably won't be done for a few weeks yet. ha!
danE managed to get his old Nikon out of the pawnshop earlier that day by some weird twist of fate. His photos are much better but his camera weighs a ton. There are loads more photos (duh) but nobody wants to see that many photos of flowers/water/turtles/danE taking photos. Hey, I was bored.
(and, for the life of me, I can't figure out why this photo won't show up normally.)
Watched Inside Deep Throat, and while I enjoyed the brief moments of hardcore pornography, I found the documentary to be lacking cohesiveness and linearity. I enjoyed The Fly and The Fly II much, much more. Brilliance!
danE and I are being men and women today; he is banging away in the bathroom, building us a shower, which entails the use of many different saws, a blowtorch, and the requisite hammer/crowbar combination. I, on the other hand, am busy sewing, and later I'll do dishes, and be as domestic as I possibly can. I don't know how we cornered ourselves into these roles today but I am learning construction (sortof) and dane is learning to sew (sortof). If you gave me a choice between hammering and nailing or sewing and knitting all day I'd still pick the latter.
I bought a jacket at the thrift store for $19.98 and it's ready to be picked up at the dry cleaners today. Funny thing is that the dry cleaning is costing $20. How do you like them apples?
